| Welcome to us in Tullen! In Swedish Tullen is the name for the customs. You can perhaps imagine the confusion in people when we answer The customs on the phone. What is tomtar, then?. Tomtar is the Swedish word for gnomes and/or santas. We love Christmas and when I had to think of a name for this domain, this name popped up in my head. The idea for this monthly report came when Mats gave me a digital camera for my 50th birthday. I have always enjoyed taking photos, but it was made easier and funnier (and time consuming) to work with the pics in the computer. But what should I do with them all? The thought of a monthly report from our garden came to my mind and in March 2002 it was a fact. |

We're the new generation of couples who have found each other over the net. What a good thing to happen! We have now been a couple since February 2000. To start with, we stayed at each other's homes. But the thought of having a new place of our own started to grow. Of course we found our dream-house the same way as we found each other - over the net. We moved in at the beginning of December 2001, and the first stuff we took there were some Christmas decorations. What makes you chose a certain house? For us it was love at first sight. We especially fancied the open space around us. |

Here Mats has found out what a handyman he is. And he enjoys long walks in the forrests around us and having a good time with the dogs we have here. Here he has also been able to put up all kinds of lightning in bushes and trees and he has become a master of trimming the lawn. I have managed to get seeds to grow and have then had the pleasure of taking pics of the flowers that came up. Inger is taking care of all the vegetables and the green-house. She is also watching Molly for us, when needed. |

These are the main stars in Tullen right now. We had my father staying in the small cottage to beguin with, but it was to cold and drafty in the winter so he has moved into a flat in the nearby community. He also had a dog, when he moved in with us. A rather wild one who too often rän away. He has now moved into another home, where we hope he's doing fine. It pleases me, if you, when you drop in, find something that catches your eye. It is always fun to read entries in the guestbook. Now that I have got a new camera to "play" with, I will have far too many pics to chose between. I know there are visitors that would like to see more people in the report. When I started I didn't intend to have a single person showing, but one or two have sneaked in. There might be one or two more in the future as well, but the report is mainly about flowers, nature and animals. |
